Using Prem's Spices Green Cardamom Pods (aka Elaichi) is the best way to lift the flavours of your dishes instantaneously. It has a fresh citrusy, minty flavour with hints of eucalyptus.
Cardamom is the most common spice in India and It's also one of the world's most ancient spices, often known as the Queen of Spices. Green Cardamom is not to be confused with Black Cardamom, as green cardamom has a stronger and more intense flavour.
Cooking Suggestions: Green cardamom pods are used whole in oil or warm liquid such as broth or soups. They are added right at the beginning of the cooking process to infuse the dish with a pleasant aromatic flavour. The pods can be easily removed from the dish before serving if you do not wish to have a whole pod in your mouth filled with cardamom seeds.
Add whole cardamom pods to rice dishes, or whole grains such as lentils, tabbouleh, couscous etc. They are also delicious for curries, stews, broths or any sauce based dish.
The initial production of green cardamom pods was in Southern India, however, they are now popularly grown in Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Guatemala to name a few countries.

Gourmet World Foods uses Australia Post, Couriers Please and Aramex delivery service. The minimum shipping cost for a standard delivery service is $10.60. The average shipping cost for a Large Parcel Box is $20.05. The exact cost depends on the order destination as well as its weight and volume. The shipping cost is automatically calculated at checkout and the different costs per service options are also shown at checkout to be selected before payment (Standard or Express Service).
About Australia wide Deliveries: All our products are shipped from our facilities in NSW, Australia. We use a range of carriers, depending on your location and date of order (mainly Australia Post, Couriers Please and Aramex).
-Australia Post and Aramex make one attempt to deliver the parcel. If you are not at home and the delivery attempt is unsuccessful, then you can pick up the parcel from a collection point (your nearest Post office or Aramex local designated collection point).
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING AND DELIVERIES:
Apart from Australia, we only ship orders to New Zealand and the United States. International shipping cost is automatically calculated at checkout and it depends on weight, volume and destination.
